Success Story: James

James  (75) is a City of West Park Senior Program attendee, who loves playing cards and spending time with friends. Lately, it has become difficult for James to enjoy these activities due to his deteriorating eyesight and legs. He now uses a cane to walk and needs assistance in signing and reading documents. James also recently lost his wife, so some days are more difficult than others. However, he states, "I love coming to the center because it reminds me not to give up hope and to continue to walk to regain some strength in my legs." He also explains that after the loss of his wife, the center was very supportive and continues to help keep his spirit up with laughter and love". He now enjoys West Park Senior Program exercise activities and continues to communicate with other seniors on a daily basis.
