Jaime Collazo, Director of Market Development for VITAS® Healthcare, leads a team of hospice representatives who educate community healthcare professionals on the Medicare hospice benefit, disease-specific clinical guidelines, and evidence-based medicine. He is one of VITAS' most seasoned educators on issues surrounding end-of-life healthcare for LGBTQ+ patients. Prior to embarking on a business development path for the company in 2015, Mr. Collazo spent an additional 12+ years as an operations manager for VITAS. He serves on the VITAS Leadership Council and is a member of Services and Advocacy for LGBT Elders (SAGE) and the Miami-Dade Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce. Collazo earned his bachelor's degree in Health Services Administration from Barry University in Miami.
