Coast to Coast Legal Aid’s: Mobile Justice Squad Coast to Coast Legal Aid’s mobile justice van was transformed into a working office for attorneys providing legal services on the go, with a walk-up window equipped with Wi-Fi for a computer, printer, copier and scanner during COVID-19. Attorneys and clients are separated by plexiglass for safety, so the attorneys are able to screen clients, review legal issues, prepare, scan and copy documents all in one visit, eliminating the need for clients to travel to the office or send documents through the postal service.

This group of lawyers are providing services to residents of Broward County aged sixty and over who are vulnerable and homebound. Legal services offered through the mobile justice squad include access to health and public benefits, housing and foreclosure defense, domestic violence and financial exploitation, consumer fraud, and naturalization.

We are bringing our resources and services out on the road to the most vulnerable elders in Broward County and this is an integral part of what we do to continue our mission of providing high quality civil legal advice, representation, and education to those who need it.
