The Senior Citizen Law Project provides legal advice and representation to Broward County residents who are 60
years of age or older. The project can help you with legal problems in the following areas:
- Housing - Landlord/Tenant Problems, Public and Standardized Housing, Eviction Defense
- Health and Public Benefits - Food Stamps, Social Security and Supplemental (SSI), Medicaid, Medicare, HMO's, Long-Term Care
- Consumer - Foreclosure Defense, Bankruptcy (to save family home), Debt Collection Defense (including medical bills, credit
cards, home improvement contracts), Defense of Garnishment of Social Security and Wages
- Naturalization Project - Assistance with Application for U.S. Citizenship, To Qualify for Public Benefits, Medical Waivers,
Fee Waivers
- Abuse and Exploitation - Exploitation by Family Member, Domestic Violence
Staff will arrange appointments at the above address and different Senior Centers throughout the county. The project is administered by
Coast to Coast Legal Aid of South Florida.

The Law Project's office is located at
491 N State Road 7 in Plantation, and professional staff are available to respond to calls Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
