Description:
The Executive Director of the Joseph Meyerhoff Senior Center, Inc., manages the overall administration of the
Senior Center, which provides various services to the elderly in the Southeast section of Broward County. Example of Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the management, supervision and coordination of all project activities and staff to achieve the goals of
the project.
- Writing and implementing, as well as administering the approved project grant applications and awards.
- Establishing operating guidelines and overall supervision of project staff.
- Overseeing and evaluating adherence to contract provisions, both programmatically and fiscally.
- Responsible for working together with the Board of Directors in developing and administering long-range plans and operating
procedures.
- Pursuing partnerships and collaborations in the community to promote awareness, advocacy and fundraising opportunities.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree preferred in social work or related field, marketing, or business.
- No less than four (4) years experience in management or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Knowledge of organization and administration of public health programs, facilities and services preferred.
- Able to analyze budgets and evaluate programs.
- Knowledge of computer operations—Microsoft applications.
- References and background check.
